Several months ago, before I left Palm Springs, I was out walking my dog, Sam, through the apartment complex I lived in. I passed by an apartment that had some fake corn stalks out by the patio. That sparked my imagination, and, like always, I headed to my sketchbook and quickly drew a rough. I then labored for a few days doing the pencil drawing of the image (which you see here). I started to work on it in Photoshop, meticulously painting every stalk and blade. I hate to say it, but I gave up after about three months, and in that time, I only got a corner of the painting done.
So, here's the sketch, and here's hoping I'll pick it up some day and finish it.
