I don't have a lot of time for this post, but I wanted to mention what happened last Wednesday. I went to my first lunch with a group of local illustrators, thanks to the encouragement and invitations of the Cincinnati Enquirer's Pulitzer-winning cartoonist (and my childhood hero) Jim Borgman, and cartoonists Tom Holtkamp and Daryll Collins. It was a show-and-tell lunch, where everyone displays their latest work (or, in my case, my entire portfolio). So, here's the sketch of the piece I'll be working on for next Wednesday's lunch. I'll have more about all of this then.
